The RC1613 PDC Ridged Cutter is a larger-diameter Polycrystalline Diamond Compact cutting element developed for PDC drilling tools and oil drilling applications.
With a 16 mm diameter and 13 mm total height, RC1613 provides a larger cutting configuration than the 13 mm RC series models. Its dimensions make it suitable for drill bit designs that require a larger ridged cutting element while maintaining a moderate overall cutter height.
The cutter features a 2.0–3.0 mm diamond height, providing the active PDC working section for formation cutting and wear resistance.
The specialized ridged profile creates a non-planar cutting surface that changes the interaction between the cutter and formation. This geometry provides an alternative cutting structure to conventional flat PDC cutters.
